How Can I Apply for Relocation?
Every corps member has the option of relocation or redeployment, however NYSC will always search for valid reasons to review your application. It is reasonable to want to change your state of deployment due to adverse circumstances or expectations, therefore here is how you can appeal for relocation.
You would need to formally apply for relocation through the secretariat alongside your supporting documentation of the reasons why you want to change your state. Keep in mind that approval is not guaranteed and sometimes may not be granted, it solely depends on the discretion of the NYSC authorities. After Application, What next?
After your application for redeployment has been approved, you will be assigned to a new PPA (place of primary assignment) where you will need to report to your new PPA and been your service. You will report to your new Local Government Inspector alongside your documents. After relocation, here is a summary of what to do.
- Travel to your new state of deployment and report to the NYSC camp.
- Summit letter of relocation to the secretariat.
- Obtain a new PPA in your new state.
